I’ve had enough of the mis information about what it takes to setup a website.  I just got off the phone with a woman who said the same thing I keep hearing from people who have it all wrong:

“It takes thousands to setup a website”

“It takes a lot of money to get to the top of Google”

“When I have the money for a website…”

So here’s the deal:

What you need to attend

1. Computer with high speed connection
2. Credit card with $20 on it to register your domain name at GoDaddy and sign up for hosting
3. Headset with Microphone, Long distance or Skype to call in.  You can use Skype’s monthly $3 plan
4. Headset – This will allow you to work easier at your keyboard. Speakerphones can cause problems.

Workshop Goal

This is the third run of this class. This means that in addition to this class being free, I will be asking folks to provide feedback on what can be done to improve this workshop. This class will remain free at FreshWorkshops.
