You pretty much covered all the essentials. I was planning to do such a video myself and I encountered yours. Therefore I hope it won't be a problem if I like to you instead of creating another video. Keep up the great work. People need to be informed at all times.
________________
Mathew Farney - Web Hosting

Yes, Joomla can be a "monster" to learn, especially when it comes to module positions. I would suggest you look into hosting services vs running your own systems, especially if you are not at "expert" level for Linux because there are many security issues to monitor and not doing so can put all your clients at risk.

There will be upcoming training on Joomla and general website development. I've been teaching Joomla workshops online this year and they've gone well. Make sure to sign up so you can get notified of new workshops!

Loved your video, it was fun and informative! I've been toying with the idea of hosting sites after a few people approached me with requests, after I repaired their PC's. So I took off and built 4 servers(linux)and I'm a Windows person myself, figured out how to publish sites (just one page of minimal content out of the box)then got stuck. Design is challenging. Yes I am doing everything, the design, development and deployment. I did some research and discovered Joomla!. Installed it on a laptop (unfortunately before I discovered you site, oh well)and saw endless possibilities. I've been searching for training videos on the subject, which is how I happened upon your site. This video, although not on Joomla!, gave me much more insight as to what people should be looking for. I was asked to do sites, but I don't really think that all the pre-planning and forethought had been done before I was approached. Now that I've viewed your video, I have a better understanding as to what I can do to help potential clients make more informed choices and get the results they are looking for. It is a lot more work than I initially thought. Do you plan on doing videos on the design/development side? Do you plan on posting any more training on Joomla!?
