There are over 73 million results for the word “Joomla” in Google.

Most business owners are looking for ways to save money in this economy and building their own website is a way to save thousands of dollars.  Joomla, a Content Management System (CMS) is a very popular choice since it’s been around since 2005.  There are many free and paid themes for Joomla but it can be a hassle to setup, even for web designers.

Setup incorrectly, your Joomla website can appear unprofessional to potential clients with broken links and missing images.  Worse yet, if your site gets hacked, your existing customer will lose trust in your product.

Workshop Goal

This is the 7th run of this class. This class will remain free at FreshWorkshops as a way to give back to the Joomla community.  When I joined it in 2005, I didn’t really know too much about Content Management Systems and Joomla.  A class like this would have been invaluable.
