Step 1 – Does This Fit Your Learning Style?

This website is focused on people who learn best by:

  • Completing hands on exercises
  • Watching how to complete tasks
  • Talking with others to absorb information

You can find out your learning style by taking the VARK assessment online.

Step 2 – Workshop Learning Levels

Workshops are broken down into the following levels of expertise:

  • 101 Beginner - No experience necessary on the topic
  • 201 Intermediate – Enthsiastic beginners welcome, power users, designers
  • 301 Advanced – Experience needed; higher end programming, certification and development

Step 3 – Technology To Participate

Your internet connection and computer need to be up to speed so you can keep up with the group.  Please check that you meet these requirements:

  • High speed internet connection.  Wired is better than wireless for speed
  • Pentium 4 processor
  • 512 MB of memory
  • Long distance calling
  • Hands free headset, microphone with headphones and/or speakerphone

Tips for a great workshop experience

  1. Make sure you feel the workshop is a good fit for your needs
  2. Contact Freshworkshops if you have any questions before you sign up
  3. Plan to take notes and ask questions to better retain the information
  4. A fast internet connection is important
  5. If you have a virus or spyware problem, please resolve that first before signing up
  6. Speakerphones are not workshop friendly.  Please pick up a headset so you can type and talk at the same time
